Meet the Tarantula T family

The real stars of Tarantula T have eight legs โ€” and considerably more followers than I do.

These are the two curious jumping spiders you'll see regularly across my content.

Jumping spider

This is Star โญ โ€” and just like her name, she loves the spotlight. Star is a sweet girl who loves nothing more than climbing up into your hair, and she's always ready with a little wave. ๐Ÿ‘‹ She's a stunning jumping spider, with the beautiful white, grey and black markings typical of the Apalachicola locality. Star by name, star by nature.

Maple

Jumping spider

This is Maple ๐Ÿ โ€” the sweetest little girl and incredibly nosey! She always has her little face pressed up against the glass, watching whatever I'm doing. She loves sitting on my hand while I feed and water the others, quite happily coming along for the ride. If something's happening, Maple needs to know about it. ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ•ท๏ธ

The Tarantula T Nursery

Responsible captive breeding is something I'm beginning to explore as Tarantula T grows. Here I'll document the process โ€” from courtship and egg sacs through to tiny slings and eventually finding suitable new homes.

The surprise Hyllus diardi egg sac

Completely unplanned, entirely fascinating. I'll be documenting this one properly: the egg sac appearing, development, emergence and โ€” if it proves fertile โ€” everything that comes with raising a batch of tiny slings.

Storytelling first โ€” no reservations, no preorders. When animals are genuinely ready for new homes, you'll hear about it here first.
