Meet the tiny personalities behind Tarantula T

From curious jumping spiders to wonderfully weird mantids, the animals are at the heart of everything I do. Meet some familiar faces from my social channels and learn a little more about the species behind them.

Star the jumping spider

Star

Jumping spider

This is Star ⭐ — and just like her name, she loves the spotlight. Star is a sweet girl who loves nothing more than climbing up into your hair, and she's always ready with a little wave. 👋 She's a stunning jumping spider, with the beautiful white, grey and black markings typical of the Apalachicola locality. Star by name, star by nature.

Maple the jumping spider

Maple

Jumping spider

This is Maple 🍁 — the sweetest little girl and incredibly nosey! She always has her little face pressed up against the glass, watching whatever I'm doing. She loves sitting on my hand while I feed and water the others, quite happily coming along for the ride. If something's happening, Maple needs to know about it. 🍁🕷️

Something exciting is growing… 🕷️

Tarantula T is slowly growing beyond social media.

I'm working towards offering carefully raised captive-bred invertebrates alongside a small range of thoughtfully chosen Tarantula T products and enclosures.

No enormous catalogue. No random products for the sake of filling a shop. Just things I'd genuinely be happy to use with my own animals.
